The Society of Architectural Historians and Cliff Dwellers, in co-sponsorship with the Friends of Downtown and the Chicago Chapter of the AIA, are pleased to present another in their series of architectural events on Thursday September 28, 2017;
A Film on Marc Chagall’s Four Seasons.
On September 27, 1974, Four Seasons, a mosaic by Marc Chagall which is located at the ChaseTower Plaza in Chicago was dedicated. It was a gift to the city of Chicago by the Prince Charitable Trust. A seldom-seen film of the creation of the mural and its opening ceremony will be shown on September 28, 2017 (43 years later, almost to the day) at 6:00 pm at the Cliff Dwellers. Thanks to Sandy Collins , William Wood-Prince’s granddaughter who is graciously sharing a family keepsake with us.
