The Society of Architectural Historians and the Cliff Dwellers, in collaboration with the Friends of Downtown and the Chicago Chapter of the AIA, are pleased to present another in their series of architectural events on Thursday November 8, 2018: Douglas Farr presents Sustainable Nation: Urban Design Patterns for the Future.
If you are passionate about mitigating climate change, you need to be part of this conversation! Douglas Farr’s new book Sustainable Nation: Urban Design Patterns for the Future (2018) is an urgent call to action for all who care about urbanism and the environment. The timeline of climate change is long, but our time to act is short. We must accelerate change and build just, beautiful, and sustainable communities faster than we ever have before. Join Doug on a journey from fear about the seemingly daunting task of combatting climate change, to hope about how we can bring about a sustainable future in four generations.
