The Cliff Dwellers and the Chicago Chapter of the Society of Architectural Historians, in co-sponsorship with the Friends of Downtown and the Chicago Chapter of the AIA, are pleased to present another in their series of architectural events on Thursday January 16, 2020: Jackie Koo presents, “A Mid-Career Perspective.”

Jackie Koo will talk about her career in producing architectural works, including theWit, the hotel at Navy Pier, Hotel EMC2, and the dual-branded Hyatt at the Old Cook County Hospital.

Jackie Koo AIA, IIDA is the founding partner of KOO, an award-winning architecture, interior design, and urban planning firm. Jackie began her career as an architect in 1992, graduating with an M.Arch degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago, and worked for other practices for fifteen years. She established KOO in 2005. KOO provides design services for a wide range of project types, including the education, multi-family, commercial and institutional but always with a hospitality infused expression.  The firm reimagines old buildings and creates new ones.
